The Cowden Support Program is a 6-month protocol developed by Wm. Lee Cowden, MD initially for the treatment of Borrelia and Lyme Co-Infections. Since the protocol helps to resolve the majority of the root causes of most patient's symptoms it can also be used to treat most chronic health conditions. Many people use the Cowden Support Program that have not been diagnosed with Lyme.  Use of the CSP may be helpful and there is no indication that it would be harmful. 

Le Cowden Support Program est un protocole de 6 mois développé par Wm. Lee Cowden, MD initialement pour le traitement de la Borréliose et les co-infections de Lyme. Étant donné que le protocole aide à résoudre la majorité des causes profondes de la plupart des symptômes du patient, il peut aussi être utilisé pour traiter la plupart des états de santé chroniques. The Cowden Support Program utilizes 14 different Nutramedix products including 6 Microbial Defense herbals (3 pairs of herbals) that are taken rotationally over at least 6 months. The first pair (Banderol and Samento) were studied in vitro by [[Eva Sapi]], PhD and her group at the University of New Haven, Connecticut and found to eliminate all forms of Borrelia burgdorferi (spirochetes, round-body forms and biofilm forms). In that study, doxycycline antibiotic was not nearly as effective against biofilm and round body forms of Borrelia burgdorferi. [[Richard Horowitz]], MD in New York State has found the Cowden Support Program to be effective in markedly improving the condition of 70-80% of the advanced Lyme Borreliosis patients with co-infections over 4 to 6 months' time, even if the patients had previously failed to improve on multiple courses of antibiotics. Dr. [[Richard Horowitz|Horowitz]] presented the findings of his use of the Cowden Support Program in a fairly large group of his patients with Lyme Borreliosis & co-infections at the ILADS conference in the fall of 2007.

Le Cowden Support Program utilise 14 différents produits Nutramedix dont 6 herbes à base d'herbes médicinales de défense microbienne (3 paires d'herbes) qui sont prises en rotation au moins 6 mois. La première paire (Banderol et Samento) a été étudiée in vitro par [[Eva Sapi]], PhD et son groupe à l'Université de New Haven, dans le Connecticut, et a éliminé toutes les formes de Borrelia burgdorferi (spirochètes, formes cystiques et biofilms). Dr. [[Richard Horowitz|Horowitz]] a présenté les résultats de son utilisation du Cowden Support Program dans un groupe assez large de ses patients atteints de Lyme Borreliosis et co-infections à la conférence ILADS à l'automne 2007.
