Jelen liess 2004 ein Substanzgemisch ohne eigentständige Bezeichnung/Namen zur HIV-Behandlung patentieren.<ref>Patentnummer: WO/2004/066954 vom 12.08.2004 (Anmeldung 29.01.2003), ''A pharmaceutical mixture and a method of its production of a therapeutic composition for blocking the HIV-1 and HIV-2 virus replication in the CD4+ cells of the human immune system in all stages of that viral infection, and in AIDS for the treatment of HIV in a patient in need of such treatment.''</ref> Nach Angaben aus dem Patent soll das Substanzengemisch die Replikation (''Vermehrung'') des HIV-1 und des HIV-2 in CD4-positiven Lymphozyten (T-Helferzellen) hemmen.

Nach anderen Angaben soll es hingegen eine unterstellte Reaktion zwischen HIV und dem Hormon Progesteron beeinflussen.

Im Patent sind Angaben zu den Inhaltsstoffen zu finden. Als "Hauptwirkstoff" des Präparates soll offenbar Jod fungieren.
