→Proteste gegen staatliche Finanzierung der Homöopathie in England
Ende Januar 2010 veranstalteten hunderte Kritiker der Homöopathie (1023-campaign) in mehreren Städten (unter anderem in London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow, Leicester und Edinburgh) Demonstrationen vor Geschäften der englischen Apothekenkette "Boots", um gegen die Ausgaben von etwa 12 Millionen Pfund (Zeitraum 2005-2009) des staatlichen Gesundheitssystems NHS für unwirksame Homöopathika zu protestieren. Die Apothekenkette wurde aufgefordert, keine Homöopathika mehr zu verkaufen, da diese ''wissenschaftlich absurd'' seien. Die Demonstranten versuchten auch, sich durch gemeinsame Einnahme überdosierter Homöopathika wie "Arsen C30" zu vergiften, indem komplette Tablettenröhrchen auf einmal eingenommen wurden. Am 22. Februar 2010 forderte Georgos Vithoulkas die Skeptiker der Homöopathie heraus. Vithoulkas griff in die Debatte um die Homöopathie ein und schlag einen alternativen "Versuch" vor, der jedoch nicht einem modernen Studiendesign entspricht. 40 "Skeptiker" sollten doch 2 Monate lang jeden Tag das Mittel "Alumina 200C" einnehmen. Sie würden sodann feststellen, dass am Ende mindestens 10% der Teilnehmer ''up to 10% or more'' mit "leichten" oder "schweren" Symptomen einer Obstipation (Verstopfung) kämpfen würden.<ref>I challenge the Sceptics ! I promise you that this experiment will settle the matter once for all. You need to find 40 sceptics for this experiment. As for the side effect?
