Um als Kunde promoviert zu werden und einen (wertlosen) Doktortitel zu erhalten, sind ein vorheriges Abitur und ein Hochschulstudium nicht notwendig, bei IMUNE wird nicht danach gefragt. Es genügt über den Bezahldienst Paypal 25 € anzuzahlen, ein nicht näher bezeichnetes Mentorenprogramm (100 € / Monat) zu bezahlen und eine Text (''thesis'' genannt) abzuliefern. So heißt es beispielsweise: ''Do any research or topic thesis requested''. Danach erhalte man per Email das Bild einer Schmuckurkunde.
