Myron Evans wurde 1950 in Wales als Sohn eines Minenarbeiters geboren und besuchte die Pontardawe Grammar School und danach die University of Wales Aberystwyth. Er wanderte 1986 die USA aus und war dort an der Cornell University tätig.
