Eine Art Schisma zur römisch-katholischen Kirche wird dazu anekdotenhaft behauptet. Tatsächlich trat einer der "Vorgänger-Bischöfe", ein gewisser Bishop James Ingall Wedgwood, aus der katholischen Kirche aus. Als Mitglied könne man sich auch viele Vorteile sichern: so könne man sich beispielsweise von der "Kirche" zum Pastor ernennen lassen, dürfe dann den Titel "Reverend" vor dem eigenen Namen führen und sogar auf Steuerbefreiung und Geldeinnahmen hoffen. So solle man als "Pastor" MMS-Flaschen umsonst verteilen können, aber gleichzeitig um Spenden bitten.
